About paul
Paul Latu-Andrews, married to my beautiful wife Jackie Latu-Andrews for 12 years and together for 22 years. 3 young kids, Kanoa 8, Leilani 7 and Luana 6 (All names Polynesian due to my wife’s Tongan roots)
In that time we have rode many trails across the UK with Lakes and Wales regular destinations for away days/weekends. In our time we have taken part in a number of challenges and sportives including C2C, Devon C2C and more. On more regular local rides you will find us up Rivington Bike (Bolton) and surround areas. We have also been on holidays away most years including spain, portugal and France. In more recent years we have started to do some road cycling with our yearly holidays away now soley focused on road cycling.
I have always been in all things sport. In additional to cycling and do some running, along with going to the gym. I am a Leigh Leopards Rugby League Fan and regularly attend games. I am also a Man Utd fan(don’t hold that against me!) trust me I am very quiet at the moment haha.
Then in more recent years I have started to watch more American sports , mainly due to a lot of my wife’s family living on the west coast of the USA. I am now a LA Rams , LA Lakers and more recently a LA Dodgers fan and have been fortunate to go watch games with the latter just this summer.
I once won the Young Guns award, top 30 new/young business people in the UK for that year. Got to meet Steve Barlett and also Romi Savova (found of PensionBee) who were both one of the 30 that year. Alumi also included business like Innocent Smoothie, Brewdog and the founders of virtual keyboards we find on our phones today SwiftKey
Finally I would say I really like all things food and coffee, this makes biking even more essential in burning of the calories for me . Love to try new foods and restaurants and always plan a coffee stop into a ride.

FAQs
What is a mobile bike fit?
A professional mobile bike fit is a service where a trained expert comes to your location to adjust and tailor your bicycle to your specific body measurements and riding style. This ensures optimal comfort, efficiency, and performance.
Why should I get a bike fit?
Getting a bike fit can significantly improve your riding experience. It helps in reducing discomfort, preventing injuries and increasing efficiency and power output. Whether you’re a casual rider or a competitive cyclist, a proper bike fit is essential for enjoying your rides to the fullest.
How long does a bike fit take?
A typical bike fit takes approximately 2.5 – 3 hours, depending on your specific needs and the adjustments required. Our goal is to ensure your bike fits you perfectly, so we take the time needed to get every detail right.
What do need for the bike fit?
Your bike, cycling shoes and your usual cycling attire. It’s important to fit you in the gear you normally ride in to ensure the adjustments are tailored to your regular riding conditions. If you have booked to have additional bikes or shoes fitted at the same time, please have them available.
Can you fit all types of bikes?
Yes, we specialise in fitting all types of bikes, including road, gravel, triathlon, TT, track and static training bikes such as Watt bike. Each type of bike has unique fitting considerations, which we are fully equipped to handle.
How do I prepare for the bike fit?
Ensure your bike is clean and in good working condition. We cannot do a bike fit on a bike which is not in good working order. If you have any specific concerns or areas of discomfort while riding, be ready to discuss them during your appointment as twe will ask you all of this.
How much space do I need for the bike fit?
You’ll need enough space to set your bike up on a turbo trainer and we’ll also have an exercise mat for you to undergo your biomechanical assessments. This is a rough area of 2 to 3 meters squared.
If you could also make sure that any valuable or precious belongings are removed from the fitting space and please ensure that any pets (or small children) are also kept away from the fitting area.
Is a mobile bike fit as effective as a studio fit?
Absolutely! Our mobile bike fit service offers the same level of expertise and precision as a studio fit. The Bike Fitters are trained to a very high standard with continuous on going training especially around biomechanics and complex cases. The advantage is that we bring this service directly to you, providing convenience without compromising on quality.

id match laser guided cleat fit
Our idmatch Footmeter uses a laser to quickly and accurately measure your feet. This helps us record key measurements such as foot length, foot width and metotarsal length.
The idmatch Tiltmeter is a special tool we use to check how your foot sits when you’re actually pedaling. It helps us see if your foot leans inwards or outwards (pronation or supination), which is really important for a comfortable ride.
Finally, our idmatch Cleat Fit system makes sure the part of your shoe that clips onto the pedal (the cleat) is perfectly aligned. We use a laser and cleat stencil to get this just right, so your feet feel great and you pedal efficiently

Here’s what he had to say when Bike Fitters HQ threw him some questions
Honestly, don’t have one/wouldn’t have a clue, but happy to go with any you recommend for this one. Currently I just ride and haven’t started to geek out on stuff like this but hope to soon
Best ride you’ve ever been on? Can I do 2!
Sa Colabra, Majorca, amazing scenery, smooth roads, lovely weather, epic decent and even more epic climb back up
Around 12 years ago now a group of us cycled from San Francisco to Santa Monica Peer over 5 days along the pacific coast highway
If you could cycle anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I have ambitions one day to cycle across the world or at least Europe. I haven’t cycled in Italy yet and that’s on my list.
What cycling event do you never miss watching on TV?
Same for most I guess but its the Tour De France, its the one I will stay up to watch the highlights each night
What’s the funniest thing that’s happened to you while on a bike?
Whilst completing the Isle of man End2End challenge a few years back. A few of us finished at the same time and were waiting for the organised coach to pick us up and get back to base. Whilst lined up next to a dry stone wall, my friend decided to lean up against it whilst chatting to us. What he hadnt relised is that there was a gap in the wall and proceeded to fall through the gap, taking a pretty nasty fall. Rightly so myself and my friend laughed at him for a while before helping him. What we hadn’t realised is one of the organisor’s photographers had captured the whole event and shared pictures as part of the events news coverage, making the incident all the funnier and given us great photos to foundly look back on (or to remind our friend haha)
Who’s your cycling hero and why?
Bradley Wiggens in the days of watching him win the olympics and ride with team sky. Seeing them is what sparked my interest in road cycling after previously just all mountain biking before then
What’s your pre-ride ritual?
Don’t really have one as such but nowadays I do have to prioritise a bit of dynamic stretching before I get going and tend to have a coffee or two.
What’s the best piece of cycling advice you’ve ever received?
Was once told to wear two pair of socks in the winter – ones with foil in-between to keep the wind chill off, works a treat.
